The Geological Survey of Estonia analysed the security of supply of construction minerals in NE Estonia

The Geological Survey of Estonia (EGT) prepared a general geological study providing a comprehensive overview of the distribution, resources, and use of construction mineral resources in Lääne-Viru and Ida-Viru counties, as well as assessing the region’s security of supply in both the near term and longer perspective. The study concludes that, based on the current demand for construction mineral resources in Virumaa, sufficient resources are available to ensure the counties’ supply security until 2050.

Based on data from deposits, extraction sites, and exploration areas of construction mineral resources in Virumaa, EGT analysed the quantities and quality of construction materials required for national infrastructure projects. The study also provides an overview of the geological structure of the counties, with particular attention to the geological cross-sections of deposits and the construction-related properties of the rocks and sediments forming the registered mineral resources.

Conference "Common data space for Estonian nature"
15. mail toimub Eesti Teaduste Akadeemias konverents "Eesti looduse ühtne andmeruum". Euroopa riigid on teinu...
