DiSSCo - Distributed Systems for Scientific Collections - is a cooperation project and infrastructure platform of nature museums and research institutions in European countries to improve the availability and usability of natural science collections and related data in Europe. In 2025, the cooperation platform will officially become an ERIC - European Research Infrastructure Consortium - of which the state of Estonia will also become a member. In preparation, the NATARC consortium participated in the research infrastructure roadmap project DiSSCo Estonia, which helped to mobilize data, ensure compatibility with the European infrastructure, and participate in its construction. In the field of the Earth sciences, DiSSCo Estonia's most important contribution was the development of GeoCASe, the European geoscience collections portal.
